Save Money with a Garden ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ

Gardening is one of the best ways to save money on food. With the continual rise in food prices, a garden can provide fresh fruits and vegetables at little to no cost. For busy professionals, gardening doesn’t necessarily consume a lot of time, either. ๐ŸŒฑ
If you don’t already have a garden, let’s discuss ways to build one for free.
1. Seed swaps ๐Ÿฅ•๐Ÿ
Seed swaps are meetings among gardeners where they trade seeds and clippings of plants. You can attend them for free, and if you’re just starting your garden, some gardeners may give you seeds for free.
2. Free topsoil ๐ŸŒฑ
Topsoil is the layer of soil closest to the surface that is the most nutrient dense. It is also the best for growing your garden. Farmers, construction site management, and even other gardeners sometimes will give away topsoil for free because they can’t use it. Even if you can only get fill dirt, you can mix compost with it and make richer soil.
3. Composting ๐Ÿฅซ
Composting consists of mixing food waste and kitchen scraps to create free fertilizer for your garden. Instead of putting food waste in your garbage disposal, but it in your composter.
Gardening doesn’t have to take a lot of time, but it can create a lot of savings for you. ๐Ÿ’ต Even if you don’t have land to garden on, you can grow some vegetables indoors, too. ๐Ÿก๐Ÿชด
Have a great weekend, and I’ll talk to you again soon!
